Pierfrancesco Diliberto

Pierfrancesco Diliberto, Better known as PIF, was born in Palermo in 1972.

In his early career he worked as assistant director for Franco Zeffirelli in Tea with Mussolini (1998) and a year later for Marco Tullio Giordana in One Hundred Steps (2000).
In 2000 Pif took part in a course organized by the Mediaset TV network and became a writer for TV. He became famous for one of the TV group’s most popular shows Le Iene, a humorous investigative reporting show, for which he worked as writer and reporter between 2001 and 2010.

In 2007 he created his first individual show for MTV, Il testimone (The Witness), one of the most original and innovative of the current TV outlook.
Since 2011 he has been busy with Il testimone Vip (the celebrity version of the show), that illustrates close-up the details of the daily lives of figures form the worlds of sports, politics and entertainment.
In 2013 he made his film debut with his first feature The Mafia Kills Only in Summer.
